Research

At our laboratory, we are dedicated to the research and development of next-generation security infrastructures centered around cryptographic technologies. Our goal is to create innovative cryptographic methods that address the challenges of the Beyond 5G and quantum computing eras, fundamentally solving real-world security issues through both theoretical and practical approaches. We actively collaborate not only within academia but also with industry, standardization bodies, and OSS communities to ensure the social implementation of our research outcomes. Our key research topics include lightweight, low-power cryptography for IoT devices; the design of low-latency, high-speed cryptography for Beyond 5G networks; the development of cryptanalysis techniques; and theoretical proposals for new cryptographic schemes. As part of our applied research, we also evaluate real-world cryptographic systems, and to date, we have uncovered vulnerabilities in protocols used by services such as LINE, Zoom, Webex, and Nostr. Our research results have been published in numerous top-tier conferences and journals hosted by The International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR), achieving a globally recognized impact.
